Perhaps this is the right place to mention the following. The dark mode that I see on the forum looks bad, because (1) the anti-aliasing is very bad, (2) the background for the central content - e.g. the background for the box into which I type now - is too dark, and/or the white text (within, again, that central content) is too faint. But, a caveat: problem 1 - the anti-aliasing problem - seems to beset my Windows computer but not my Linux computer (or rather the one Linux PC on which I tested). The browser seems not to matter: on Windows and Linux I tried both Firefox and Chrome, and which of those two browsers I used did not make a difference.

I do not have the problem on other fora. And the monitor that I am using for Windows is a good one.
